New City Reader
The inaugural issue of the New City Reader, an newspaper of public space conceived by the Network Architecture Lab, is a graphic depiction of the July 1977 blackout in New York City. Specifically it chronicles the improvised production of the next morning’s New York Times. It takes printed media as a lens through which to view responses to infrastructural collapse. The New City Reader was an editorial performance piece in the New Museum exhibition "The Last Newspaper," in October 2010, and was installed in various places throughout New York City. With NetLab.
